The Skagit Rain Pants, built with our proprietary Rain Cloth™, are the ideal waterproof/breathable outer layer to keep your legs dry and protected from rain, snow, sea spray or wet brush. The rain pants are built with the same Rain Cloth™ as our Skagit Rain Jacket–a three layer fabric consisting of an extremely tough, tightly-woven nylon shell with a waterproof/breathable membrane laminated to its interior. The membrane is full of millions of microporous holes that are too tiny for water to penetrate, yet allow vapors to escape to the outside, keeping you dry and non-sweaty. On the interior is a brushed tricot backer that adds warmth and aids in the dispersion of moisture. To ensure fully-waterproof protection, interior seams are sealed with waterproof, flexible tape. This Rain Cloth ™ fabric is optimized for durability–the 5.3-oz. nylon shell is extremely resistant to punctures and tears, keeping the membrane safe from thorns and brush. For added durability and protection, the cuffs and lower inseams are reinforced with tough Cordura® nylon.
